Arizona Psychic hit by car jokes he 'didn't foresee it happening'
PHOENIX — An Arizona psychic medium recalls the moment a car crashed through the front window of a restaurant in Canada, launching him into the air and pinning him against a wall.
"I didn't foresee it happening," said Blair Robertson.
Robertson, 51, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., a community about 20 miles northwest of Phoenix, jokes about the May 30 accident even as he recovers from injuries.
He was having lunch with a mentor and fellow psychic when the car plowed through the window at Silks Country Kitchen in Virgil, Ontario. Robertson and his friend were seated at a table by the window.

ASU Football: Freshman Brandon Ruiz calls 55-yard kicks 'average,' has perfect Campt T scrimmage
PAYSON, Ariz. — Arizona State freshman kicker Brandon Ruiz ate dinner at head coach Todd Graham’s house, and they talked about something Ruiz — the once-Alabama commit and USA Today high school All-American — could likely do with his eyes shut: Warm ups.
The two were joined by offensive coordinator Billy Napier and spoke on the Saturday before heading to Camp Tontozona. Ruiz said Napier told him to start warming up at 35 yards, then slowly increase from there. Ruiz wasn’t opposed to the idea, but brought some extra sauce to the table.
“I told him (Napier) you know like a 55-yard field goal — that’s like the average,” said Ruiz, the Gilbert, Arizona native.“ He (Napier) said, ‘If it needs to go above, we can do that, but if it’s a bad game, we might move it up a little bit.’”
He then added: "I can go 60 too, though."

ASU vs. UCLA: Sun Devils doomed by Rosen, incomplete drives in 44-37 loss
PASADENA, Calif. — The Arizona State Sun Devils ran 20 more plays, had 11 more yards, earned four more first downs and had one less penalty than the UCLA Bruins.
Yet on the cusp of bowl eligibility, Arizona State (5-5, 4-3 Pac-12) fell to UCLA (5-5, 3-4) by a single score, 44-37, on Saturday night.
“Man, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t have won this game,” Tashon Smallwood said.
The Sun Devils scored twice to begin the game, stirring a momentous 14-0 lead. That margin split after Manny Wilkins was intercepted by Nate Meadors who ran it 26 yards back for a pick-six. UCLA QB Josh Rosen then tied the game on a 1-yard touchdown run.
From there it was anyone’s contest. The Sun Devils just didn’t take it.

ASU Basketball: Bobby Hurley expected Romello White to be this good, this early
TEMPE, Ariz. — Following the Arizona State Sun Devils’ 97-62 win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Friday night, Romello White spoke with Pac-12 Network broadcasters for the first time, then entered a press conference before an assortment of media.
Two games into his career, and he’s got all the attention.
White scored a season-high 25 points with six rebounds following his 16-point, 15-rebound debut on Tuesday night against San Diego State.
Being academically ineligible last season, White spent the year on the bench. He said it was tough, and explained he hadn’t spent more than a week away from basketball prior to last season.
He was asked if his early numbers surprised him.
“Honestly, yeah.” White said. “I felt like I was going to be a little rusty when I got back, but I surprised myself, so I’m just going to keep going, keep doing it.”

Arizona State fires Todd Graham
Head coach Todd Graham was fired after six seasons when Arizona State Vice President for University Athletics Ray Anderson released a statement Sunday morning.
His contract buyout is $12.27 million, according to azcentral.com.
Anderson’s statement read as follows:
“From the moment he arrived in Tempe, Todd helped change the culture and emphasized the student in student-athlete here at Arizona State, elevating the program to unprecedented heights in the classroom and strong citizenship across the board...
Dan Wolken of USA TODAY reported early Saturday afternoon while Graham had not been told Anderson’s official decision, believed he would be fired regardless of the outcome of the Territorial Cup. Arizona State beat Arizona, 42-30, Saturday.
Graham finished with a record of 46-30 (31-23 Pac-12), reaching bowl eligibility in five of six seasons. His .605 win percentage was better than any four ASU coaches previous to him dating back to 1988.
